The ATAA is in the process of collecting data on Akhal-Teke sport results in recognized events.
We have new categories on our website where we will list results in the hope this will show the public what our horses can do and have the proof they did it! More so this will go hand in hand with our pilot program starting in 2015. All ATAA members participating in recognized events will receive $ from the ATAA after they have competed and sent in a link showing their results, and provide 2 high resolution pictures from the show. The ATAA hopes to have more members competing, more exposure for the horses, and hopefully donors to help pay for the program and eventually sponsor riders... We hope this will be a success and eventually include schooling shows too. This is for ALL deciplines.

It has been decided at our 2014 annual meeting that members who renew before March 1st, 2015 will be put in a raffle for a half price conference fee in 2015 for the ATAA conference in Indiana.
The ATAA has gift bags left over from the conference.
The bags are from Turkmenistan, and so is the Alaja in it. Other gifts are from various businesses. A box costs $10 plus $5.95 shipping, or $12.95 shipping for everything in the bag. Arrangements can be made for pick up. Please email Amrita if you are interested! We did our first recognized horse trial last weekend and Hendrix did great. He was in the open BN division and ended up 7th. He was clear xc - although we had a few speed fault penalties, oops! - it's just too effortless for him to run fast! :-) and only one rail in stadium. The photos are the highest quality, as my husband stayed in one spot and filmed to try to catch all the action and so they are still images from the videos, but you can see he is doing well! We also completed a Ride and Tie event at the end of August (Hendrix, my husband, and I) and we got 1st in the 6 mile division! It was great fun and he was awesome at it. Pictures attached of that too! Can't wait to continue his training and go to the next show….. Stephanie |
