Francine Anderson and the Akhal-Teke stallion Eramay have been invited to participate in
the parade of breeds at the Gene Mische Invitational in Tampa on April 7th.
It's a very prestigious international show jumping event that attracts thousands of spectators and is held at the Raymond James Stadium.
Francine took part in it last year with the stallion Gerald and got a lot of exposure. To learn more about it or buy tickets go to: http://www.stadiumjumping.com/T.E.html
The ATAA got contacted today by Horse Illustrated, this is what they had to say:
"I'm really looking forward to writing another story on the Teke and working with the association. This breed profile will be our new "short format" which will allow for more photos. It will be for the July 2012 issue with a March 15th deadline. I'm hoping to highlight the breed's versatility and all its unique attributes with a short profile on the history. The breed is still a mystery to most people so let's show them where they come from and what the Teke has to offer! "
The ATAA is looking for someone willing to show the Akhal-Teke horse at the Western States Horse Expo in Sacramento, CA.
The ATAA will help sponsor the booth and help with promotions.
"Auditions" are being taken for an exemplary horse and someone who is an excellent spokesperson for the breed.
For more information, please contact a board member near you.
We are pleased to announce the first ATAA horse registration completed for 2012!
