Our Bylaws state:
4.8 Elections and Removal of Individuals Serving on the Board of Directors: Quorum. 4.8A Election of Board of Directors. An election shall be held at each Annual meeting by the Active membership of the Association for the purpose of electing individuals to succeed those Directors whose terms have expired and to fill any vacancies then existing. 4.8B Each member of the Board of Directors shall be elected by the Active membership for a term of three (3) years, and shall hold their status as a member of the Board of Directors until their successors are elected. 4.8C Two (2) members shall be elected each year, and a third (3rd) member shall be elected every three (3) years. This will provide for an overlap and guarantee continuity and greater consistency on the Board of Directors. Exception: the initial election in 1999 will provide for three (3) members to be elected for three (3) years, two (2) members to be elected for two (2) years, and two (2) members to be elected for one (1) year. 4.8D A slate of proposed Directors shall be included either in the Association newsletter published prior to the annual meeting of the Association membership, and/or mailed to the membership fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the annual meeting of the Association membership. This year, we have two Board members whose terms are up: Amrita Ibold and Tish Saare. Anyone in the ATAA who has been an ACTIVE member since at least March 31st, 2015 (meaning Lifetime, Individual or Ranch) may run.
