For more than 3,000 years... Akhal-Teke horses have been raised by nomads, living with humans in close proximity. Perhaps this is why the breed today is remarkably personable... sometimes behaving more like dogs than horses in their desire to interact with people. Akhal-Tekes are very intelligent, love attention, and usually exhibit a curious, playful, and level-headed character. They are gentle with children, and smooth to ride. Here are some of the lucky few who get to learn to ride and take care of this special breed.
