Why join the ATAA? There are many benefits of becoming a member of the Akhal-Teke Association of America. Most of all, your membership dollars will help us to preserve and promote the breed.
In 2018 we staffed a booth at the World Equestrian Games, visited by thousands, and we held Akhal-Teke competition classes at Dressage at Devon. The ATAA also joined the Endangered Equine Summit sponsored by the Livestock Conservancy, and continued the Naked Foal Syndrome (NFS) testing program.
In 2019, we’re launching an ambitious grant-supported program to further assist with the registration of North American Akhal-Teke horses in the closed Russian Studbook (VNIIK) to maintain the status of purebreds. And we’re continuing the very popular Incentive Fund Awards that showcase the abilities of Akhal-Tekes in recognized sports against other breeds, as well as discipline and volunteer awards. All these projects are made possible through generous donations, grants, and your membership dollars.
