The ATAA produced a half hour promotional video with the company HorseFlicks, about the Akhal-Teke, in the American Livestock Breeds Conservancy (ALBC) Series titled ‘Extinction is Forever’. The intention of this series is to highlight the breeds on the Critical, Threatened, and Watch categories of the ALBC’s Conservation Priority List. As you know, the Akhal-Teke is listed as threatened on this list. This series is to be aired at least 18 times over a 36 month period (it could air as many as 30 times with bonus episodes). HRTV is reaching our target audience.
We had over 27 horses and over 30 people participate in 3 separate film locations around the country. Thank you to all of them! It has been posted on YouTube, here is the link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urjf3iLl0G0&feature=share We are still selling copies too, go here to order them.

Here is 2016’s digital program from Dressage at Devon. We (the ATAA and Tekes) are mentioned on page 18, 31 and 53.
It also tells how the breed divisions are judged, gives bios of the judges, has diagrams of the show grounds and much more. http://www.e-digitaleditions.com/i/732276-2016-program As part of the benefits of being an USEF Alliance Partner, we can put news in the weekly USEF online magazine "Equestrian Weekly".
This week the cover of a Teke and rider on AERC's 'Endurance News' is our press release. What will next week's be? May's issue of Equus has an article on the genetic test for 'Naked Foal Syndrome'. They don't mention that the ATAA has a fund to help with half the cost of this test for our members. You can go here to read more about what NFS is and what the ATAA is doing to help stamp it out.
The PDF/email (color) version was just sent to members and the snail mail version (black and white) will be in the mailbox tomorrow for those that get paper copies.
Thanks to everyone who contributed! We are linked on the USEF website under 'Alliance Partners', at https://www.usef.org/about-us/alliance-partners
This also allows us to send in reports to be seen by a wide equestrian audience. |
